North Dakota Death Records
The Division of Vital Records provides registration and certification of the vital events
that occur in North Dakota.
These events include births, deaths, fetal deaths, marriages and divorces. They also provide
statistical information on a wide range of categories relating to these events.
The State office has some records since July 1893.
The years from 1894 to 1920 are incomplete.
Additional copies of death records are $4.00 each. Copies are generally processed within 5-7
working days after request is received.
